I am so excited to tell you about Candid Moments Photography’s first charity event. On April 17th (Saturday) I will be photographing 20 moms and daughters to raise money for a charity organization that is close to Michelle and my heart. The organization is named daughters and they rescue women young girls from the human trafficking industry in Cambodia. If you are not aware of what human trafficking is, it is the enslavement of people who are taken from their homes and forced to work for little or no money. In Cambodia, the women and children who are enslaved are many times used as sex slaves and often have no other options. Daughters takes women out of this life and teaches them ways to make money and live on their own. If you want more info please go to their website www.daughterscambodia.org.
Candid Moments Photography is selling 10-15 minute sessions for $25. Prints are sold separately but all proceeds will be going to the charity. A woman can be rescued and educated for one year for $880. My hope is that we can raise $1760 and rescue two women. Right now I have 11 spots filled. I would love to fill the last 9 spots. If you or someone you know might be interested in either being photographed or helping the day run smoothly please contact me. This is only for moms and daughters (and grandmothers).
