Claire and Matt’s Engagement Photos

Claire and Matt decided to have their engagement photos taken in Fairmount Park.  I don’t get down there much but I always love it.  It’s a beautiful area and really feels like you are miles from the city.  We didn’t shoot at the Japanese house but if you get a chance go down during Spring.  It’s gorgeous.

Claire and Matt were so great in front of the camera.  You can tell that they really love being with each other and being close.  It was all very natural.

CAUGHT!

If you are new to my blog or maybe you have just forgotten, we have a game that awards the winner with a free photo session.  And anyone can win.  So, what are the rules?  I think it’s about time that I laid the rules out so that everyone in on the same page.

1. Catch me without blogging for 7 days and you win.

2. 7 days = Seven 24 hour periods.  Thus, if I posted at 12:37pm on the 20th, I have until 12:37 on the 27th to post a new blog.

3. Only the first one to catch me wins.

4. If you e-mail me a minute early (according to my e-mail time stamp) then you do not win.

5. The free session covers only the $200 session fee.  It does not cover any product that you wish to purchase after that.

6.  The deal is only good for 1 year after you win.

7. If you cannot use the session you may give it to someone else.

8. It can only be used on portrait sessions, not weddings.

Now that we covered the rules I want to congratulate one of my clients, Claire, for winning the free session.  She’s not sure how she’s going to use it at the moment but I’m sure we will have fun together.  I just photographed her engagement photos a few weeks ago so you should be seeing her blog post soon.

Keep on checking on the blog.  You may be the next winner!

Peache and John’s Wedding at Cairnwood!

Peache and John first met me at Cairnwood’s open house a handful of weeks before their wedding!  What great timing for me.  I was so happy to get a last minute wedding and in the end I was just so happy to work with a great couple.  We had lots of time to take photos and really enjoyed ourselves.  It was a gorgeous day to be married outside.  I have been to Cairnwood many times in the past year but I really felt like I was able to come away with some original shots.  I’m always looking to come up with something new even if I’ve been to Cairnwood quite a bit.

Allison and Jeremy’s Engagement Photos

Georgi did an amazing job taking Allison and Jeremy’s engagement photos.  Allison and Jeremy chose to have Georgi photograph their wedding next June and after seeing these photos are ecstatic.  What a great variety of shots all from in a wooded park.  Great Job Georgi!

Melanie and Sean’s Wedding Photos

Melanie and Sean were married at the Heritage Hills Golf Club all the way out in York, PA.  It is quite a drive out there but well worth the trip.  It’s a gorgeous golf course and a perfect place for a wedding.  The bridal suite was more like a penthouse apartment.   One of the walls was an enormous window that overlooks the course.  There’s two levels inside.  It was a pretty amazing place to get ready.  Melanie’s smile lit up the room even more than that giant window and her bridesmaids were all very excited to be part of her day.  The ceremony took place on a grassy overlook high above the course and it’s many lakes.  The sun was gorgeous and the sky’s were dazzling.  During the reception, Melanie’s dad sang to her, and while he won’t be winning American Idol this winter, it was so genuine that you couldn’t help but tear up.  You can tell there is a very tight bond between them.  I remember thinking that I would give anything to have a moment like that with my girls on their wedding days.  Melanie and Sean are a great couple and they have a great group of friends.

Kate and Jared’s Wedding

Kate and Jared were married at Our Lady of Good Council in Moorestown NJ and then partied the night away at an awesome reception location called Jasna Polana in Princeton NJ.  Jasna Polana is the home of the Johnson and Johnson family.  Mr Johnson has passed away but Mrs Johnson still visits from time to time and is even joined by her good friend the Prince of Monaco who stays in a room that is saved just for him.  I can’t say I know this all for sure but that’s what one of the groundskeepers told me.  I was also told that when Johnson had the house built he included steel plates in the walls and bullet proof windows.  Cool.

The mansion is now a golf course but the house is still surrounded in gardens and beautiful landscaping.  I really is a wonderful place to have a wedding.  I am very happy with how the photos turned out but it really was easy with Kate and Jared.  They looked great and were very easygoing.  I had a great time with you guys!
