Jen and Charlie’s Engagement Photos

Jen and Charlie go to Citizen’s Bank Park, home of the Phillies, every Sunday afternoon.  Lucky Dogs.  I love the Phillies and watch every game I can.  I even listen to baseball on the radio!  So, it only made sense that they wanted their photos down at Citizen’s Bank Park.  I was almost able to get us a tour of the stadium and some photos on the field but Charlie lost faith after we waited for a while in a customer relations office.  Later, he regretted that decision and wished that we waited a little while longer.  Someday, I would like to take some photos around the ballpark.  If there are any couples who would like to put on a wedding dress and suit and take some photos around the ball park, let me know!  I’m in.  Here are the photos that we took while walking around the exterior.

Melissa and Andrew’s Engagement Photos

For those of you who don’t know, we have an Associate Team of photographers led by my two main photographers, Adam and Georgi.  Melissa and Andrew hired our Associate team and spent an afternoon with Adam taking great engagement pics.  I heard from both Adam and Melissa that the session went well and all had a good time.  Well, the photos turrned out beautifully and here are some of my favorites.  Hope you love them.

Shannon and Chad’s Wedding

Shannon and Chad were married on April 25th and had a gorgeous day for photos.  The sun was shining, the sky was blue and everyone was having a great time.  Shannon asked me to find a place near Pinecrest Country Club in Montgomeryville for photos.  She wanted an old barn feel.  Something with stone and grass and field.  I spent 2 hours earlier that week driving around town looking for a farmhouse.  I finally found a place.  The barn burned down 50 years ago and all that was left was stone walls.  Trees were growing in the middle.  The family was so excited to have a bridal party come use their house that they offerend to let us use an old 1950’s pickup in the shots.  Sadly we only had about 30 mintues there but we came away with some great stuff.  The church is St Lukes near Green Lane.  The church doesn’t allow photographers in the santuary so I had to stand outside the doors and shoot in.  That’s why there isn’t much to show for that.  But the church is very pretty inside and really nice outside.

The reception was at Pinecrest Country Club and we grabbed a few minutes with the couple to trek out onto the golf course and take some beautiful shots of the sunset.  Thankfully, we didn’t hear anyone yell “FORE”.  We were just off a green though and I was waiting for it.  The reception was a lot of fun since the bridal party loved to dance and both Shannon and Chad’s friends were out there partying the night away.

Krista and Matt’s Engagement Photos

Here is an engagement session that never got blogged.  I didn’t realize that I missed it until just today.  Matt and Krista are getting married in two weeks!  I guess it’s better that I am showing you all now instead of after the wedding!  We took an hour and a half and walked around the streets and alleys of Philly.  They both had great chemistry and loved to laugh!  I had a great time.

Jill and Tristan’s Wedding

Jill and Tristan had their wedding at the Riverdale Manor out in Lancaster.  It’s a relatively new reception location that sits on a hill overlooking river.  We had a beautiful day, the trees and flowers were in full bloom and we had a great time walking around the property.  The field next door was filled with yellow flowers that were filled with pollen.  Thankfully the dress did not turn yellow but the guys shiney shoes were completely covered.  There ceremony went well until the wind blew over the large flower arrangement that was setting on the table up front.  The vase smashed, everyone laughed and Jill took it in stride.  No problem.  Perfect attitude.  The guests had a great time hanging out outside since the spring temps were perfect and the band was busy working the dance floor inside.   All in all it was a great wedding and we have some great shots to prove it!

I have been caught! Three times :(

Back at the beginning of the year I made a promise to all my wonderful clients and future clients.  I promised that I would get a new blog post on-line every 7 days.  If 7 days passed without a new blog post, I would give the first person to catch me a free portrait session and $25 toward a canvas from that session.  This is a $225 value.  Not too bad.

Well, I have been giving away free sessions like no tomorrow.  Today was the third time I have been caught in the past 4 months!  And boy was I caught.  I had 4 clients “catch” me in 2 hours.  I appreciate all of you keeping me on track!  Since I am only giving the free session to the first one to catch me I must congratulate Stephanie a past bride from 2008.

Obviously, there are going to be more free sessions offered so please check in often and watch the calendar.  You may be the next one to get me. :)

Dana and Andrew’s Engagement Photos

Dana wants to know why babies keep showing up on the blog instead of her engagement photos, which she just can’t wait for!  Well, the wait is over.  Here they are.  Dana was just kidding about the babies.  She works down at CHOP and actually loves little babies! :)  Dana is a big fan of this blog and recently caught me breaking my prosmise.  8 Days had passed since I blogged and I promised to blog every 7 days.  So, she won a $200 photo session and $25 towards a canvas.  She is still deciding on how to use the free session.

But, let’s talk about engagement photos!  The three of us met at Love park and walked around the city looking for something cool.  I think we found some cool places and had a good time doing it.  The photos turned out great and I think the wedding will be so fun.  It’s coming up soon!  Only about a month away!

Amelia and Nicholas

Well, I have reached that point in my career as a photographer where I am photographing baby photos of past wedding couples.  It’s a great feeling and I am thnkful to have clients who keep coming back for more!  Lillian and John were married back in 06 (I think…now I can’t remember).  She asked me to drive out to Lancaster to photograph her newest baby, Nicholas who was pretty happy when he was sleeping and not so happy otherwise.  But then again, he was in a china cupboard, naked on the hardwood floor, in the prickly grass, and stuffed in a wicker basket.  I guess he has a right to be a little peeved.  Amelia, loves her brother but tried hard to keep everything very serious and business like while I was there.  Fortunately, I was able to get a couple of shots with the two of them together.  When a toddler decides that she isn’t going to hug her brother, you’re not going to make her do it.  We had a great time and I’m proud of the photos that I got.  If you know anyone who wants photos like these please urge them to call me.  I love babies and kids!
