Alisa and Kevin’s Wedding

Alisa and Kevin were married back on December 20th and I know that I’m going backwards a little but Alisa sent me an e-mail explaining that her family couldn’t wait to see the photos on the blog.  Well, I decided to blog about it just for them.  December 20th was frigid!  I could barely stand it and I was wearing a winter coat.  My fingers barely worked by the end.  Even though the temperatures were icy the bridal party did a great job and spent about 30 minutes outside the capital building.  The ceremony and reception were in Harrisburg.  Alisa and Kevin were both so great, ready to do whatever I asked and full of expressions.  They were just perfect together.  Kevin is a helicopter pilot for the US Army.  You will see a very cool cake chopper below.  Alisa and Kevin, I had a blast.  Thank you for having me as a part of your wedding day.

Reegan and Siena

Recently, my family and I went to LA to see our friends and take Reegan to Disneyland.  The disneyland photos are coming :)  While we were out there some of our friends, Aaron and Chrissy Florence, were kind enough to let us stay with them for an extended time.  We didn’t expect to stay as long as we did but they have a daughter, Siena, who is the same age as Reegan.  The two of them hit it off really well and as the trip was already hard on Reegan (and our friends asked us to stay with them longer!) we happily stayed.  As a gift for their kindness I spent a day taking photos of Siena.  Of course I had to take some photos of Reegan at the same time.

While we were staying with Aaron and Chrissy, they took some time to show us their wedding film business.  I would say videography but they use 8mm and 16mm film to capture the wedding day.  Please take a look at a very unique and very cool way to capture your wedding.  www.renaissancestudiosfilms.com

And now here are Siena and Reegan!

Alix and Jason’s Sicilian Wedding!

Well this wedding was definitely the greatest I’ve ever been a part of.  I received an E-mail a little over a year ago from Alix’s mom.  I photographed Alix’s sister Jayne’s wedding a few years back and the family loved everything so much that they were interested in taking me to ITALY!  Um, let me think about it…yes.  Somehow Alix and her family persuaded about 60 friends and family to leave PA when the temperature was just above zero and fly out to gorgeous Sicily for a vacation.  Buses picked us up and took us to the airport where we flew to Rome and then to Sicily.  We arrived in Sicily at about 11 in the afternoon (5 in the morning PA time).  We were told not to go to sleep because the jet lag will kill you.  So we all walked around Taormina and were in awe of the beauty.  Definitely most beautiful city I’ve ever visited.  I’ll be getting some shots of mine up here soon.  Some of the guys were able to pay a bar owner to buy the channel for the Eagles playoff game and we all went down there to watch.  At that time I had gone over 30 some hours with no sleep and I literally could not function.  The wedding was a few days later and even though the day was cloudy it was not raining!  It poured the day before and after.  As a general rule of Italian weddings the guests join the bridesmaids by walking through the streets of the town to the church.  After the ceremony we were able to take photos in an ancient ampitheater.  Everything was beautiful and I had such a blast.  We all spent a week together in an amazing city and have great photos to show you.  I will tell you a little more about the trip in the next blog post where I will show you a few of my photos around the city.  Thank you so much Alix, Jason, Ro and Jay for making this happen!  I will never forget it.

Jennifer and Jeff’s Wedding

Jennifer and Jeff were married on January 30th.  It was a very cold day but the girls trekked outside and allowed me to get some fun shots.  This first shot of Jennifer is one of my favorites that I’ve shot in a long time.  I just LOVE how it turned out.  I love the blue sky and Jennifer’s blue eyes.  It’s perfect as far as I’m concerned.  I think it needs to go in the studio.  The ceremony was at St. David in Willow Grove and the reception was at the Philadelphia Marriot West in West Conshohocken.  They had a great band named the heartbeats whom I really enjoyed and so did all the guests.  It was a great party.  Lots of dancing and even some dancing on chairs.  I hope you enjoy the photos!

Katie and Dan’s Wedding

Katie and Dan’s wedding really couldn’t have been better.  There was snow on the ground but it was about 60 degrees.  Here’s a note to all brides out there.  Never let your bridesmaids talk you out of going outside before the ceremony.  Just lift your dress up and enjoy yourself.  The photos of Katie in the snow outside her home were well worth it.  I wished I had grabbed a shot of her footwear.  Big snow boots:)  The church was the Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill and the reception was at the Knowlton Mansion.  Both were gorgeous locations.  Georgi and I had a great time with a great couple at a great wedding.
