Kelly and Joe’s Wedding

Kelly and Joe were married on November 15th at Saints Simon and Jude Church in West Chester, PA.  I have been blessed this year with a growing number of clients who have been referred to us by past clients.  Kelly and Joe found us through Liz and Sean Meakim who were married back in September of 2006.  Since then Liz and Sean have sent many of their friends to us and I couldn’t be happier about the whole thing!  Plus Sean is now my financial advisor.  Enough about the Meakim’s.

The day began with lots of weather updates and worries.  Clouds were dark and rain was immanent.  I thought that the girls might not even make it because the limo bus got stuck in Kelly’s driveway.  First the driveway was so steep that when the bus backed out the bumper actually ran into the road and wouldn’t permit the bus to go any farther.  Then the driver angled the bus out into the yard and got stuck in the mud.  I should have taken photos.

We ended up making it to the church and everything went smooth.  Joe, like most guys is relaxed and didn’t seem too nervous.  After the ceremony we sped off to an outdoor location and took some quick shots before the wind picked up and the rain came down.  Kelly can run pretty fast in a gown.

When we arrived at the Overbrook Golf Club in Villanova it was pouring.  The reception hall is beautiful inside.  We were followed around by a sort of crazy woman who tried to tell me what to shoot all the time.  I get this often.  Many people at Country Clubs feel that every photographer is naturally going to want to do what every other photographer does.  I don’t.  She even whispered to me how she would photograph the couple if it were her.  She wasn’t real happy with my ideas.  I try to act like I’m not listening when that happens:)  In the end we all had a great time and as you can see the photos look sweet.
