Melissa and Todd

Most couples worry more about the weather than anything else.  I always tell brides that rarely ever does it rain all day long with no breaks.  Well, Melissa and Todd were not that lucky.  It rained, no poured, all day long.  At first Melissa was pretty upset.  In the end we had a great time.  Here are some photos from that wedding.

Adam took this shot of the rings on a mirrored table.

I decided to play around with Melissa’s veil for a few shots.  Good news is that I really liked this shot that Adam grabbed of her holding her veil.  Bad news is that his shot was better than mine :(  I do like the shot I took of her by the window.

I love the orange and blue colors of this shot.

Todd waiting for the ceremony to begin.

The ring bearer isn’t too fond of mommy going to take formal photos.

Adam took this great shot.  This is making the best of a rainy day.

fun wallpaper!

This shot was in between the bathrooms so as I’m having them kiss people kept walking out.  I’m sure people were trying to figure out why the heck I was posing them in the bathroom hallway.

Melissa and her dad.

Todd and his momma.

Adam found the ring bearer and his family checking out the ice sculpture.  I love the little boy’s face.  So innocent.

Kinsey is Here!

I’m sure many of you are aware that my wife and I just had another baby.  Kinsey was born on October 21st and Michelle and I are just so excited that Reegan has a playmate in the making.  We are all so happy that she is happy and healthy.  Here are a few quick shots that I took last night.

This is a doll stroller.  Kinsey didn’t quite fit but it cracks me up everytime I see it.  She wasn’t so happy about this shot.  The photo on the right is what she looks like after a good feeding.  Oh Yeah!  That hits the spot.

Thinking deep thoughts.

What the heck is on my head?

Reegan knows how to sit in front of the camera.  I asked her to sit in front of me so I could test the flash.  Even though it’s just a test shot I love it.

Halloween!

She loved the wings.

This is her smiling for the camera.

Mary and Bob’s Wedding Photos

Mary and Bob were married down in Wilmington DE at a gorgeous old mansion called Brantwyn.  I was there a couple of years ago so I was excited to go back.  Bob plays in a metal band with a few of his groomsmen so I had to say I was pretty excited to hear them play at the reception.  Sadly, I was told that the band’s music wasn’t quite wedding type music so we wouldn’t be hearing from them.  Dang.  That would have been so cool.  Mary and Bob have so much fun together and it was very obvious that they were crazy about each other.

I put these photos in here because I had to tell you their story.  I hope Mary doesn’t mind.  It was just so cute and funny.  I photographed Bob writing a note to Mary earlier.  It was to be delivered with a gift.  I knew there would be a good reaction (there always is when notes are written before the ceremony) so I made sure I was there.  She pulls out the Pez dispenser and begins crying immediately.  Through her tears she explains to the bridesmaids and me that she and Bob had decided that when they got married they would have all their arguments using pez dispensers.  This way they couldn’t be mad because they would be too busy laughing.  “Pick up your #&*@ socks” Mary said as she worked the pez dispensers head.  We were all cracking up.

These girls have all been friends since college.  Very very fun bunch.

This was them striking some 50’s pinup model pose.

On the other hand this is the guys laughing about some fart joke.  (not told by me)

Check out the red tie!  Very cool.

The girls are checking out all the guests coming in.  “Can you believe what she’s wearing?”  “She came with him?”  I’m just kidding, they didn’t say that.  But I hear that kind of stuff all the time.

This wasn’t set up.  She was just looking at the guests pulling in.

Waiting to turn the corner and walk down the aisle.

They were married in an outdoor garden

One kiss at the alter just isn’t enough.  After they were out of the garden they turned and kissed again.

You’re probably wondering what the heck these photos are all about.  This was one of the funniest moments that I can remember while photographing weddings.  While we were posing them a bug flew onto Bob’s forehead.  Mary’s hand hit Bob in the forehead with ninja like quickness.  It was as if she was trying to break a board in half.  It was so fast and so loud that we were all stunned.  Very funny.

I love this places dance floor.

If I’m not being photographed by a guest I’m being videotaped.  I think I’m in everyone’s wedding album somewhere.

The girls did this unprompted.  I didn’t even move them.

This is what happens after a long day of photography.

Nighttime at Brantwyn.  Gorgeous place.

Here’s a shot by Adam to finish off the post.
