Jamie and Larry’s Wedding

Jamie has been one of my biggest advocates over the last year.  She has been telling everyone about the awesome engagement photos I took for them.  (If you go back a little ways on the blog you will find those photos that we took down in Philly.)  Because of all the excitement that she’s created for us I couldn’t wait for her wedding.  In truth, I was pretty nervous because I felt a lot of pressure to make this wedding perfect.  Well, the day came and rain was threatening.  The sky was dark and I was so upset.  But, thank God, the rain did not fall and we walked away with some great images.  My good friend from college, Paul Mattison, came down from western NY to help me with this wedding.  Paul owns a studio up there and used to live down the hall from me.  I hope you enjoy Jamie’s photos.  I know there are a lot of girls waiting to see this one.  I went a bit crazy with the posting but from what I hear you all love to look at photos!

Here’s some proof that the rain had been here.  A giant puddle.  When life gives you dirty puddles, lay down in the mud and take cool reflections!

Jamie’s very excited.

I love my wide lens.  It’s my favorite.

I have to admit, I don’t think this picture would have been the same on a beautiful day with white puffy clouds.  The rain clouds are perfect.  I abloultely love this photo and I think I might make a big canvas of it for my studio.

How cool is the inside of this barn?  When we arrived at this place one of the groomsmen said “You want to take your pictures here?!”  I love that.  Jamie picked this spot because she knew that I would love it.  And I do.

Sadly, we only had ten minutes at this sweet location.  You can’t see him in this shot becuase I took him out in photoshop but the limo driver was waiting very impatiently in the background.  At one point he began pointing wildly at his watch.  I was very sad that we had to leave.

Paul grabbed this winner of a portrait.  Love the lighting.

This is actually right behind Jamie’s house.  It’s the Delaware River.

This is a nighttime shot.  There was just a little light in the sky.  We almost didn’t go out since Jamie and Larry were enjoying their cocktail hour and the sky was so cloudy.  But we did and wow!  Love the water at the bottom.

Jamie can bend like Gumby.

Jamie and her dad.  This is one of my favorite shots of the night.  Great emotion.

Another of my favorites.

Larry’s boys decided to give him a ride.  Love that expression.  You are the man Larry.

Stephanie and Lance’s Wedding

Here are some new photos.  I know I’m getting behind.  I’m trying.  Really I am.  Stephanie got into her dress at her parent’s Villanova home.  It was gorgeous and Adam and I had such a great time taking photos there.  Here’s Stephanie getting into her dress.

Adam grabbed this wonderful shot as she went down to see her family.

Her parent’s had this awesome tree outside.  It was huge!

Stephanie is a very confident person.  She loved to pose and be in front of the camera.  We had a great time playing around with all the great rooms in the house.  The one on the right is their living room.  It’s really big.  No, I’m lying.  That’s the Basillica down in Philly.  It’s only the greatest church I’ve ever been in.  I felt nervous photographing it because it was so beautiful.  I was awestruck when I went it.

Stephanie and Lance are sitting in the bottom right corner.  The place is enormous.

Logan’s square.  The sky was brilliant blue but I just thought the sky looked really neat in black and white.

TALL GRASS SHOT ALERT.

This is what a happy couple looks like.

Stephanie’s mom and dad were both really expressive.  Now I know where Stephanie get’s it from.

Talk about expressions.  This is Stephanie telling Lance something that must be very important.  You know what the best part of this photo is other than Lance not paying attention?  It’s the little boy looking at Stephanie’s legs and smiling.

This is Stephanie scolding us about something.  I have no idea what it was about.  But it makes me laugh because of Lance’s expression.

I don’t know why he was so sad but I’m sure there must have been a girl involved.  Doesn’t it just scream school dance?  Don’t worry little man, no one ever danced with me either.

Courtney and Derick

I’m sorry that I am so far behind in my blogging.  We have been so blessed with a ton of August weddings and Adam and I have just been working non-stop to keep on schedule.  Courtney and Derick were married in Valley Forge and here are a few of my favorites.

Look at Derick’s mother in the back ground.  This photo wouldn’t have been what it is without her.  I love the emotion.  Adam took this one.

I don’t think I’ve ever posted a photo of the rings being placed on the groom’s finger but I like how this one turned out.  This was another one from Adam.

One of my favorite from the whole day.  Adam’s.  I do take photos, I promise.  Can I help it if Adam and Georgi are awesome?  At least I don’t take credit for their work.  That would be terrible.  This photo however rocks.

Okay I took this one.  The limo driver was a bit crazy.  He posed everyone for all the formals and didn’t even ask for my permission.  Now, I’m not the type of photographer that will get all upset but it was just weird.  He just ran in and moved heads and elbows and taught the girls how to hold the bouquets.  I set this one up all by myself.  The limo driver thought it was cool.  Maybe I should use that on my marketing.  “Limo drivers think I’m cool”.

And now we’re back to a photo by Adam.  It’s pretty awesome.

For the first dance the reception hall decided to turn off the lights and light the floor with a spotlight.  At first I was cursing them.  But after I played with my camera a little I became really thankful because I think the shots turned out sweet.

There’s the spotlight.  If you look closely you’ll see that Courtney changed dresses at her reception.  I’ve never seen this done before.  I guess it’s hard to dance in a Mermaid dress?  It’s been a while since I’ve worn one.  I can’t remember.

Here’ a nice loving moment that I liked.
