Candid Moments Photography

Ben and Jen met at Houghton College in a small college town named Houghton.  I know this cause I was there.  I was Ben’s roommate for two years and we were friends all four.  We have stayed close over the last 16 years and have watched each other’s families grow.  He has four beautiful children that love the camera (for the most part).  Their oldest boy missed out on much of the last session because at the time he was not so into being a model.  It’s amazing what a year will do.  Now he wanted nothing more than to be mugging in front of the camera.  He didn’t even want me to leave at the end without a few farewell shots.  I love this family and I love how these photos turned out.

A while back I photographed Amelia and Nicholas.  You may remember that Nicholas was the baby that was sleeping on a china closet shelf.  One of his legs was dangling over the edge.  The Krout family saw the photos and invited me all the way out to York PA to photograph their family.  They had sort of a bad experience with a photographer the year before and they really wanted something nice for Christmas.  I was really happy with how these turned out.  The kids are so stinking cute.  We had such a great time walking around a local farm.  They even bought my kids tiny little gourds.

Dana has been one of my big fans for a while and has been very good to us.  She checks in with me often and watches our blog closely.  Well, it all paid off a while back when she caught me not blogging after 7 days.  So, she won the free session and used it to have me come out to a wedding rehearsal dinner at her parents house.  Everyone treated me great and I really enjoyed my time with everyone.  One moment during the day was especially cute, and was retold many times at the wedding.  I was chasing Dana and Andrew’s 6 year old (I could be off on the age) daughter, Reiley, around the yard taking photos.  She enjoyed it immensly.  During some family photos, Reiley jumped out from behind some family members and yelled “You can’t get me Camera boy!”  Everyone had a great big laugh and there were plans made for me to show up at the wedding in a cape with CB on my chest.  Take a look and see if Camera Boy saved the day.
