I’m SORRY!

My clients are the best in the world and it is proven everytime I stop blogging for a little bit.  I get hounded and scolded and bullied to get my stuff together and start blogging again.  I haven’t blogged in about two months and that is because Candid Moments Photography is growing and that is a beautiful thing.  Wedding Season is here, babies are being born, families want to go to the park for photos, everyone wants engagement photos etc…  I have been working around the clock to keep up and unfortunately blogging has suffered.  But…I’m back.  I took the last couple weeks and created enough blogs to fill the next two months with wonderful photo deliciousness.  You will not be starved again.  Keep on coming back.

Thank you for being awesome!  (and oh so patient)

Colleen and Thomas’s Engagement Photos

Colleen and Thomas decided to have their engagement photos taken in Manayunk which is not only one of my favorite places to photograph at but also the location of their first meeting.  They met at Kildares and it’s been love ever since.  I have been working on adding some extra lighting to give the photos a bit more drama.  I hope you like it because I can’t get enough of it and if you schedule any kind of session with me you will see that I am constantly playing around with my lighting.  They were perfect models and look great in every shot.  I’m pretty proud of what we created.

Caught!!!

Congratulations to Becky for catching me not blogging after 7 days.  This is becoming almost a monthly event now.  But it’s all okay because I love hearing from all the people who are stalking my blog waiting for me to miss a week.  Becky caught me the minute that I was late.  About 10 clients and non clients tried winning the prize after her but since she was first she wins a free session the next time she comes in.

For those of you who are new, catch me not blogging in seven 24 hour periods and I will waive your session fee when you come in for a portrait session.  If you think that it’s not worth trying because it must never happen, you’re very wrong.  I miss all the time because when I’m busy the blogging tends to get late.  And I’m always busy. (Thank you God!)

Another winner!

Well, I missed the weekly blog again! :(  It’s becoming a terrible habit.  Terrible for me, not for you.  If you aren’t checking the blog every week you are crazy.  If you don’t know, catch me not blogging in a week and you win a free portrait session.  Many have already won.  Keep checking in because the next winner may be you!

Congrats Melissa Yates!  You got me 18 minutes after the deadline.

First Real Studio Session Ever!

My studio opening is only 3 days in the past and I have my first session ready to show you all!  Take a look a baby Andrew.  Isn’t he handsome?  I couldn’t be happier with how my first session turned out.  I learned a lot and can’t wait to try out some more ideas.  I have had a few sessions since then and I am excited to show you them too!  For now enjoy some baby yuminess.  Andrew was only two weeks old by the way.

P.S. - I have an awesome shot of him peeing all over his mom and my studio but there’s nudity and I can’t embarrass the little guy like that.  But it’s pretty funny though.

Soccer Stud

I had the opportunity to photograph a soccer player who was trying out for the new Major League Soccer team coming to Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Union.  Marck had soccer skills and it was so much fun playing around with some cool action shots.  This was the first time I had ever used my new Alien Bees lighting equipment so I was a little nervous but I was so happy with the results.

Good Luck Marck!  I hope to see you on TV some day.

Cheryl and Steve Win a Free Session!

You haven’t seen Cheryl and Steve’s photos yet since their wedding wasn’t that long ago but they have already caught me not blogging.  I just put up Tina and Steve’s wedding but before that I went longer than 7 days without blogging.  Since Cheryl was the first to e-mail me stating that I didn’t post in 7 days she wins a free session.  Keep checking in because I am getting busy with my new studio and you never know when I will not get a new blog post ready on time!

Congrats Cheryl!

Tracy and Bob’s Wedding

I had an amazing time with Tracy and Bob on their wedding day.  Tracy got ready in a huge room at the Hyatt on Penn’s Landing.  The girls were a lot of fun and the room had sweet views of the waterfront.  The ceremony was at Old Saint Joseph’s which is a favorite of mine.  I have been there a handful of times and really like the look of it.  At one point the little ringbearer yelled out “Mom, I have to go to the bathroom” which made everyone laugh.  There’s a photo of it in the blog post.  After the ceremony we all went out to the nearby parks and shot on the steps of the 2nd oldest bank in the USA.  It looks like it belongs next to the pantheon.

After that, we went to the reception site which is one of the coolest places I have been in a long time.  It’s called the Curtis Center and it is amazing.  There’s a glass ceiling about 11 stories above the reception floor.  There’s a waterfall on one end and marble floors.  I can’t wait to go back someday.
